About Braver Angels

Braver Angels Minnesota is part of a national citizens’ movement that brings together conservatives, liberals, independents and others to restore trust, respect and goodwill in American politics.

We seek not to eliminate our differences but rather deal with them head-on — with respect and understanding — for the betterment of our communities. In short, we do not try to change people’s views on issues but on how they view the other side.

We offer workshops, debates and structured conversations – typically for no charge – that allow participants to learn and practice effective listening and speaking skills. 

Our volunteers share and model these skills because they believe that treating each other better is the answer to what’s broken in America. 

There will always be differences. We believe the best way forward is to change how we deal with those differences.

The Republican Party of Minnesota is proud to announce that U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Doug Collins will serve as the keynote speaker for the 2025 Lincoln Reagan Dinner, to be held on May 12 at the Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Doug Collins, a U.S. Air Force Reserve chaplain and one of the most recognizable conservative voices in America, represented Georgia’s 9th Congressional District with distinction. Known for his strong defense of constitutional principles, unwavering support for our military and veterans, and leadership in the fight to expose corruption in Washington, Collins brings a timely and energizing message for Republicans across Minnesota.

As the largest annual fundraising event for the Republican Party of Minnesota, the Lincoln Reagan Dinner plays a critical role in ensuring our party has the resources to recruit, support, and elect strong conservative candidates at every level of government—especially as we look toward the pivotal 2026 elections. It’s time to replace Trainwreck Tim Walz, hold radical Tina Smith accountable, and send crooked Keith Ellison packing.
